Jasmyne Henderson Associate Attorney & Director of Government Affairs

JASMYNE N. HENDERSON serves Pittman Law Group, P.L. as an Associate Attorney and Director of Government Affairs. Jasmyne received her Jurist Doctorate from the Florida State University College of Law. Her legal education and extensive experience in public administration and community sciences brings tremendous value to the government affairs team.

Jasmyne leads Pittman Law Group’s substantive legislation efforts and works within the firm’s government funding and appropriations practices. Jasmyne is proficient in statutory interpretation, well versed in public policy, and has strong relationships with key Legislative members and staff.

In her time as an Attorney, Jasmyne has been recognized as a Rising Star of Florida Politics by INFLUENCE magazine and was included in the National Bar Association’s class of 40 under 40: Nation’s Best Advocates. Currently, Jasmyne is a member of the seventh class of the Florida Bar Association’s William Reece Smith Leadership Academy, and is a member of the thirty-seventh class of Leadership Tallahassee. Jasmyne also serves on the FSU College of Law Alumni Association’s Board of Directors and was appointed by Florida Bar President John M. Stewart, to serve on the Governmental and Public Policy Advocacy Committee for the third consecutive year. Jasmyne is the Immediate Past President of the Tallahassee Barristers Association.

Jasmyne is a rising star in Florida with an enduring commitment to the community. She serves as Chairwoman of the Annual Pearls of Perfection Day at the Capitol. This program brings minority female teenagers from the Tallahassee community to receive training and an opportunity to advocate on behalf of important issues to members of the Florida Legislature. Her passion for community and politics inspired her to charter Biscuits and Ballots: An early voting initiative. Biscuits and Ballots, held in the 2018 primary and general elections, increased voter engagement and turnout for college students and young professionals. Going forward, Biscuits and Ballots will continue to encourage voter engagement in young and minority voters.

Jasmyne began her academic career in public administration at the University of Florida, earning a degree in Family, Youth, and Community Sciences. Jasmyne continued her education, earning a Master’s Degree as a James H. Ammons’ Fellow at the Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University (FAMU).
